Creating the stock order form

You are going to use the Stocks data model to create a form. Click here to see the data model.

After opening the data model, you will need to specify the form's layout. The layout determines how the fields appear on the form. You will specify the form design, which includes removing a few fields from the layout.

To create the form

1. Click File menu New Form.
2. Click the Data model button.
3. From the Working directory list box, choose the working directory where you stored the Stocks data model.
4. From the bottom list box, choose Data models.
5. In the data model list, double-click Stocks.dm.
   The Stocks data model displays in the Modeler palette.
6. Click OK.

To specify the form's design

1. In the Design Layout dialog box, click the Layout tab.
2. In the Style area, enable the Tabular option.
3. Click the Fields tab.
4. Hold down CTRL and choose the following fields from the Selected fields list:
   • Stock orders.Account number
   • Account.AccountHolder
   • Account.Broker
5. Click the Remove field button.
6. Click OK.
