JPEG (JPG)

JPEG is a standard format developed by the Joint Photographic Experts Group. Through the use of superior compression techniques, this format allows the transfer of files among a wide variety of platforms. JPEG supports 8-bit grayscale, 24-bit RGB, and 32-bit CMYK color modes.

The JPEG format is commonly used on the web. For more information about exporting to the JPEG file format, see Export bitmaps for the web.

To import a JPEG file

1 .

Click File

Import.

2 .

Locate the folder in which the file is stored.

3 .

Choose JPG - JPEG Bitmaps (*.jpg; *.jtf; *.jff; *.jpeg) from the list box next to the File name box.

Click the filename.

5 .

Click Import.

6 .

Click the drawing page.

You can drag on the drawing page to resize the image.

JPEG technical notes

JPEG files can contain EXIF data. This data may affect how the JPEG files open.

The features documented in the Help are available in the full version of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020. Some features may not be available in this version of the product.
