Work with fills

To choose a default fill color

To remove a fill

To copy a fill to another object

To show fills in open curves

There are a number of tasks that are common to all types of fills. You can choose a default fill color so that every object that you add to a drawing has the same fill. You can also remove a fill, copy it to another object, or use it to fill an area surrounded by an open curve.

If you want to apply the same fill to other objects or simultaneously modify the fill attributes of multiple objects in a drawing, you can save the fill settings as a style. For more information about styles, see Styles and style sets. You can search for objects based on their fill and replace the existing fill with a new one. For more information, see Find and replace colors.
