CorelDRAW lets you manage and export assets in the Export inspector. You can export one or more objects and pages, or a group of objects to the PDF, JPEG, PNG, and GIF formats.
To export an object, you must select it in the document and add it to the Export inspector. To add the active page to the export list, you must deselect all objects on the page. You can also select multiple objects or pages and add them to the export list with a single click; each asset will appear as a separate entry in the list. For more information about selecting objects, see Select objects. For information on selecting pages, see Select and activate pages.
By default, when you add an asset for export, the filename that appears in the export list is the same as the name of the object in the Objects inspector (Object Objects). To change the filename of an export item, you can rename the object in the Objects inspector. You can add a suffix to the filename to make it more meaningful and descriptive, for example, if you are exporting the same design asset to different sizes, you can add a suffix to indicate the size.
You can export an asset multiple times with different settings. For example, to quickly export a logo to the JPEG and PDF formats, add the logo once, duplicate it in the export list, and then adjust the options you want.
CorelDRAW also lets you reuse export settings. For example, to export several designs of a banner with the same settings, add the first design to the list and specify the export options. Next, select the other versions and add them to the export list with a single click by using the export settings of the first design. Export settings are object-specific; if you delete an object from a document, the object is automatically removed from the Export inspector, and you can no longer use the settings associated with this item.
In the Export inspector, pages are listed first and are arranged in the order in which they appear in the document regardless of the sequence in which you add them for export. All objects are listed next in the order in which they appear in the Objects inspector. For example, in a multipage document, objects on page 1 will be listed before objects on page 5.
You can also open the Export inspector by clicking Window Inspectors Export.
You cannot export a blank page to a bitmap file format (also known as "raster" format).
To export linked groups, such as contours, blends, extrusions, shadows, and objects created with the Artistic media tool , first group the objects in the linked group, and then add the group to the Export inspector. For example, if you want to export an object with an inner shadow, create a group from the object and the shadow, and then add the group to the Export inspector.
