Flipping images

You can flip an image along its horizontal axis or vertical axis, so that the left side becomes the right side or the top becomes the bottom — essentially creating a mirror version of the image. You can also flip a layer or selection. Note that layers and selections are flipped relative to their own horizontal or vertical axis.

Flipping a selection converts it into a floating selection, leaving the original layer unchanged.
