Important! To move raster text that is on a layer with other raster information, such as raster shapes or brushstrokes, you must isolate the text. You can use a selection tool, such as the Magic Wand tool, to select and move the text. For more information about making selections, see Creating selections.

| 1 | On the Tools toolbar, choose the Pick tool |
| 2 | Click the text you want to move. |
| A bounding box surrounds the text. |
| 3 | Position your cursor over the selected text, until it changes its shape to a four-way arrow |
You can also move text to another layer by cutting and pasting it onto another layer.

| Note: As you drag the text, a small, square icon moves with it. This icon indicates one of the following: |
| • | the start of the text if the text was left-aligned |
| • | the midpoint of the text if the text was centered |
| • | the end of the text if the text was right-aligned |
