Editing scripts using a text-editing application

You can edit the Python code in the text editor of your choice. The editor application designated for script editing will open.

To edit Python code

Edit workspace 

1	Click the Edit Selected Script button to display the Script Editor dialog box.

Until you specify another application, the default editor is Notepad.

To change text-editing applications

Edit workspace 

1	Choose File Preferences File Locations to display the File Locations dialog box.

You can also click the File Locations button in the Select Script drop-list to open the File Locations dialog box.
