To save a shape outline as a selection

Saving a shape outline as a selection

You can save the outline of a shape as a selection. Corel Painter doesn’t have a shapes library. However, because of the close relationship between shape outlines and selection paths, you can save shape outlines as selections in the Selection Portfolio. Then, you can easily convert the saved selection to a shape. For more information, see Working with the Selection Portfolio. To save a shape outline as a selection

Choose Window

Media Panels

Selections.

2 .

Choose the Shape Selection tool

from the toolbox, and click a shape.

3 .

On the property bar, click the Convert To Selection button

In the Selection Portfolio panel, click the Selection options button

, and choose Add Selection to Portfolio.

5 .

In the Save Selection dialog box, type a name in the Save As box.
