Corel Painter Help : Gradients : Applying paint effects to gradients
Some features described in the Help are available only in Corel Painter 2018, and are not included in Painter Essentials 6. For more information about Corel Painter 2018, visit http://www.painterartist.com/. To get started with Painter Essentials 6, see the Painter Essentials 6 Quick Start Guide.
To quickly draw and commit a gradient without previewing a paint effect, click the Interactive Gradient tool in the toolbox, click the GradientSelector on the property bar, and choose a preset. Disable the Edit nodes option on the property bar, click the Express Paint button on the property bar, choose an auto-painting style, and then draw the gradient. The paint effect will be applied automatically as you lift the stylus to commit the gradient.
