You can remove unwanted edges from the image with the Crop tool . You can adjust the aspect ratio of the cropped image and choose to maintain the aspect ratio. You can also remove unwanted areas of an image by resizing the canvas area. For more information, see Resizing images and the canvas.
To crop an image |
1 . | In the toolbox, click the Crop tool . |
2 . | Drag inside the image to define the rectangular area that you want to keep. |
You can adjust the rectangle by dragging a corner or any of its edges. |
3 . | When you’re ready to execute the crop, click the Commit Crop button on the property bar. |
To cancel the crop, click the Cancel Crop button on the property bar.
You can also execute the crop by double-clicking inside the rectangle.
To constrain cropping to a square |
1 . | In the toolbox, click the Crop tool . |
2 . | Hold down Shift, and drag to define the area for cropping. |
3 . | Double-click inside the square. |
To adjust the aspect ratio of the cropped image |
1 . | In the toolbox, click the Crop tool . |
2 . | On the property bar, type values in the Crop Ratio Width and Crop Ratio Height boxes. |
