Selecting and viewing layer masks

Before you work with a layer mask, you must select it. You can also view a layer mask as a grayscale image. Selecting a layer mask and viewing it are distinct operations — you can select a layer mask without viewing it. You can also hide a layer mask.

To select a layer mask Back to Top
To select a transparency mask in the Layers panel Back to Top

 

Press Command (macOS) or Ctrl (Windows), and click the title or preview icon of a layer or layer group.
Press Shift + Command (macOS) or Shift + Ctrl (Windows), and click the title or preview icon of a layer or layer group.
