Locking layers

You can lock layers to avoid accidentally changing them. When a layer is locked, you cannot select it with the Layer Adjuster tool in the document window. You can, however, move a locked layer or shape by nudging it.

To lock or unlock a layer

In the Layers panel, click the Lock Layer button .

•

Click the Layer options button , and choose Lock or Unlock.

The Locked Layer icon appears next to a locked layer in the Layers panel.

The canvas is always in a locked state, therefore, it cannot be unlocked.
