Applying effects to text

You can use raster text to create an unlimited variety of text effects. For example, you can apply a drop shadow or a beveled edge, transform text into brushstrokes, or apply a colored-chalk effect. To apply an effect to vector text, you must first convert the vector text to raster text.

Edit workspace

Apply raster text to a transparent layer on an image.

On the Tool Options palette, choose the Magic Wand tool .

Select the text.

Choose the Effects menu, and select an effect.

Choose Selections From Vector Object.

Choose Edit Paste As New Layer.

On the Tool Options palette, choose the Magic Wand tool .

Choose the Effects menu, and select an effect.
