Creating custom patterns from selections

You can convert a selection into a seamless custom pattern, which you can use for painting, adding text, or creating Web page backgrounds.

To create a custom pattern

Edit workspace

Make a selection.

Choose Effects

Image Effects

Seamless Tiling.

The Seamless Tiling dialog box appears.

Choose an option from the Tiling Method group box.

Choose an option from the Direction group box.

If you choose Bidirectional, you need to choose a setting from the Corner Style group box.

Modify any of the settings in the Settings group box.

Click OK.
