Using the Object Explorer to change form properties

The Object Explorer has two panes, the Object Tree and the Tabbed Pane.

In the procedure below, you will learn how to access and use the Object Explorer.

Change the form or report's background color using the Object Explorer

1. Click any grey area on the form to select it.

When the form is selected, sizing handles will surround it like this.
2. Click Tools menuObject Explorer.
3. Click View menuBoth

After completing this step, both the Object Tree and the Tabbed Pane will be visible.
4. Click the Appearance tab.
5. Choose a Dark cyan from the Color list box.
6. Click the Close button on the Object Explorer.

This is what the form should now look like.
