Corel Presentation Exchange (CMX)


Corel Presentation Exchange (CMX) is a metafile format that supports bitmap and vector information and the full range of PANTONE, RGB, and CMYK colors. Files saved in CMX format can be opened and edited in other Corel applications.

To import a Corel Presentation Exchange file

1 Click File Import.
2 Locate the folder in which the file is stored.
3 Choose one of the following from the list box next to the File name box:
CMX - Corel Presentation Exchange — for files created in Corel Presentations X6 or later
CMX - Corel Presentation Exchange legacy — for files created in Corel Presentations X5 or earlier
4 Click the filename.
5 Click Import.
6 Click the drawing page.

To export a Corel Presentation Exchange file

Back to Top
1 Click File Export.
2 Locate the folder in which you want to save the file.
3 Choose one of the following from the Save as type list box:
CMX - Corel Presentation Exchange — for versions 16.0 or later
CMX - Corel Presentation Exchange legacy — for versions 15.0 or earlier
4 Type a filename in the File name list box.
5 Click Export.
