You can access geometric information, such as the length, perimeter, and area of objects. You can also calculate the volume of an object by specifying a desired depth. Object geometric information can be copied to the Clipboard and displayed in the drawing window.

| 1 . | Select an object. |
| 2 . | Click Tools |
| 3 . | To calculate the volume of the selected object, enter a value in the Depth box. |
| To access geometric information about another object, select the object, and click Refresh in the Geometric information dialog box. |
| To display geometric information in the drawing window |

| 1 . | Select an object. |
| 2 . | Click Tools |
| 3 . | In the Geometric information dialog box, enable any of the following check boxes: |
| • | Perimeter |
| • | Area |
| 4 . | Click Create text to display the copied value below the selected object in the drawing window. |

In the Volume area, enter a value in the Depth box, enable the Volume check box, and click the Create text check box.

In the Volume area, click Reset.
|

|
Choose a unit of measurement from the Units list box.
|
|
|
Enter the number of decimal places in the Precision box (minimum 0, maximum 5).
