Grids

You can draw a grid and set the number of rows and columns. A grid is a grouped set of rectangles that you can break apart.

To draw a grid

1 In the toolbox, click the Rectangle tools button, and click the Graph paper tool

2 Type values in the Columns and rows box

on the property bar.

3 Drag diagonally to draw the grid.

If you want to draw the grid from its center point outward, hold down Shift as you drag. If you want to draw a square grid, hold down Ctrl as you drag; if the grid has an equal number of rows and columns, the cells will be square as well.

To ungroup a grid

1 Select a grid by using the Pick tool

2 Click Object

Ungroup.
