By default, each font name appears rendered in the Preview pane by using its respective font. You can also preview a font in other preset text such as complete alphabet sets, numbers, and a pangram. A pangram is a sentence that uses each letter of an alphabet at least once.
In addition, you can preview local fonts by typing your own text.

| 1 . | Click a font in the Preview pane. |
| 2 . | Do one of the following: |
| • | Choose a text string from the Preview font list box on the toolbar. |
| • | Type text in the Preview font list box on the toolbar. |
