Adjusting text kerning and leading

You can fine-tune the spacing between letters by adjusting the kerning. You can also adjust the amount of space between lines of text by adjusting the leading. You may want to change the leading from the default setting which is set at 100%.

Choose the Text tool

from the toolbox.

In the Layers panel, select a text layer.

In the Text panel (Window

Text), adjust the Tracking slider

To adjust leading

In the Layers panel, select a text layer.

In the Text panel (Window

Text), adjust the Leading slider
