Viewing selections

You can turn a selection off and reactivate it later. In addition, options are available for controlling the display of the selection marquee, which is the visible border of the selection.

To turn off a selection

•	Choose Select None.

You can also turn off a selection by clicking outside it with the Oval Selection tool , the Rectangular Selection tool , or the Lasso tool .

To reactivate a selection

•	Choose Select Reselect.

This command is available only if you have previously turned off a selection.

To hide or show the selection marquee

•

Select Hide Marquee.

•

Select Show Marquee.

The drawing mode remains in effect even when the marquee is hidden. For more information, see Choosing the protected area of a selection.
