Drawing a picture

You will personalize the birthday card by drawing a picture of a clown with balloons. The drawing is comprised of many small objects, arranged to create the clown.

To start the drawing

• At the bottom of the drawing page, click the page 2 tab. Pages 2 and 3 of the card are displayed in the drawing window. You are going to draw the picture on page 2, on the left side of the drawing page.

To draw the head of the clown

1. In the toolbox, click the Ellipse tool .
2. Hold down CTRL, and draw a circle on the drawing page. Holding down CTRL allows you to draw a perfect circle.
3. In the horizontal Object size box and the vertical Object size box on the property bar, type 0.75 to set the height and width of the circle in inches.
4. On the color palette, click the sand color swatch to fill the circle, and right-click the no color swatch to set the outline.
5. Open the Interactive fill flyout , and click the Interactive fill tool .
6. Drag the Interactive fill tool from the left side of the circle to the right side. Click here to see an example.
7. On the property bar, click the Radial fountain fill button .
