Adding text to the card

Next you will add a birthday message to the card. The message will be written on page 3 of the card, above the candles.

To add paragraph text

1. In the toolbox, click the Text tool, and click anywhere on page 3.
2. Type the following:

   Happy birthday!
   Have a great day,
   and best wishes for the
   next year.

3. In the toolbox, click the Pick tool.
4. On the property bar, click the Format text button to open the Format text dialog box.
5. From the Font list box, choose DomCasual BT.
6. In the Size box, type 36.
7. Click OK.
8. From the color palette, choose your favorite fill and outline colors.
9. Using the Pick tool, position the text block in the middle of page 3.
