Corel Presentation Exchange (CMX)

Corel Presentation Exchange (CMX) is a metafile format that supports bitmap and vector information and the full range of PANTONE, RGB, and CMYK colors. Files saved in CMX format can be opened and edited in other Corel applications.

To import a Corel Presentation Exchange file Back to Top
1.
 
Click File Import.
2.
 
Locate the folder in which the file is stored.
3.
 
Do one of the following:
(Windows 7 and Windows 8) Choose CMX - Corel Presentation Exchange (*.cmx) from the list box next to the File name box.
(Windows XP) Choose CMX - Corel Presentation Exchange from the Files of type list box.

Click the filename.
5.
 
Click Import.
6.
 
Click the drawing page.
To export a Corel Presentation Exchange file Back to Top
1.
 
Click File Export.
2.
 
Locate the folder in which you want to save the file.
3.
 
Choose CMX - Corel Presentation Exchange from the Save as type list box.
4.
 
Type a filename in the File name list box.
5.
 
Click Export.

The following versions are supported: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, X3, X4, X5, and X6.
 
Corel DESIGNER imports Corel Presentation Exchange (CMX) files as bitmaps.
 
When you import a CMX file from an earlier version, any text color backgrounds included in the file are not preserved.
