Create a sphere

Boolean objects are created by combining two or more objects to form a single object. Each object in the Boolean object is assigned as either Neutral, Positive, Negative, or Intersect. When the objects are grouped together and the scene is rendered, the Boolean attributes assigned to the objects within the group determine whether Bryce® 5 will render or not render the objects or overlapping portions of the objects.

The first step in creating the Boolean objects in this tutorial is to create a sphere, set its size, and assign it the Positive Boolean attribute.

  1. Click the Create button. The Create palette appears.
  2. From the Create palette, click the Sphere tool.
  3. Click the A button next to the sphere's bounding box. The Object Attributes dialog appears.
  4. From the General tab, change the X, Y, and Z Size settings to 20, 20, and 20.
  5. Enable the Positive Boolean attribute.
  6. Click the OK icon.
