Adding an entire CD track to a slide
You can also add an entire CD track, or by choosing specific starting and stopping points, you can add a section of a track to slides.
In the procedure below, you will learn how to add music from a CD into a slide show.
To add an entire CD track to a slide
- Click on the Slide 1: Thomas Inc. tab.
- Click Insert menu
Sound.
- In the Slide properties dialog box, click the Sound tab.
- From the Sound box, highlight and delete your sound file selection.
- From the Midi box, highlight and delete your sound file selection.
- Insert a CD into your CD rom.
- Beside the CD box, click the Browse button
.
- In the Slide CD - Audio dialog box, type Track 2 in the Description box.
- Type 2 in the Track box.
- In the Sound files and settings area, adjust the volume of the sound file.
- In the Sound files and settings area, click the Play sound button.
- Click OK.
In the procedure below, you will learn how to add music from part of a CD track into a slide show.
To add part of a CD track to a slide
- Click on the Slide 2: Thomas Inc. tab.
- Click Insert menu
Sound.
- In the Slide properties dialog box, click the Sound tab.
- Beside the CD box, click the Browse button
.
- In the Slide CD - Audio dialog box, type Track 4 in the Description box.
- Type 4 in the Track box.
- Disable the From beginning check box.
- In the Start location area, type 5 in the Seconds box.
- Disable the To end check box.
- In the End location area, type 1 in the Minutes box.
- Click OK.
To play a slide show manually
- Click Format menu

Display sequence
- Click the Display sequence tab.
- In the Display next slide area, enable the Manually (using mouse click or spacebar) option.
- Click OK.
- Click on the Slide 1: Thomas Inc. tab.
- Click the QuickPlay tab on the right side of your screen.
