Corel DESIGNER lets you manage and export assets using the Export docker. You can export one or more objects and pages, or a group of objects to the PDF, JPEG, PNG, SVG, EPS, TIFF, GIF, BMP, CGM, PSD, WEBP, CDR, AI, DWG, and DXF formats.
To export an object, you must select it in the document and add it to the Export docker. You can add the active page to the export list You can also select multiple objects or pages and add them to the export list with a single click; each asset will appear as a separate entry in the list. For more information about selecting objects, see Select objects. For information on selecting pages, see Select and activate pages.
You can remove a selected item from the export list, and you can select all items in the list and remove them at once.
By default, when you add an asset for export, the filename that appears in the export list is the same as the name of the object in the Objects docker (Window Objects). To change the filename of an export item, you can rename it in the Export docker. You can also add a suffix to the filename to make it more meaningful and descriptive. For example, if you are exporting the same design asset to different sizes, you can add a suffix to indicate the size.
You can export an asset multiple times with different settings. Corel DESIGNER also lets you reuse export settings. For example, to export the pages needed for an interactive parts catalog to SVG using the same settings, add the first page to the Export docker and set it to be exported to SVG that uses object data for interactive effects. You can then select the other pages and add them to the export list by using the same SVG settings.
In the Export docker, pages are listed first and are arranged in the order in which they appear in the document regardless of the sequence in which you add them for export. All objects are listed next in the order in which they appear in the Objects docker. For example, in a multipage document, objects on page 1 will be listed before objects on page 5.
You can also open the Export docker by clicking Window Export.
You can also add items to the export list by clicking the Add button at the bottom of the Export docker, and choosing an option.
Outline width and position impact object dimensions during export to bitmap formats. If the outline is centered on, or is outside of, the object’s edge, the exported object will have larger dimensions than those displayed in the Object size boxes on the property bar when the object is selected. To keep the exported object the same size as the one in your drawing, choose the Inside outline option in the Position area of the Properties docker. For more information, see To specify line and outline settings. Objects not aligned to an even number of pixels or text extending beyond its bounding box will also increase the dimensions on export to ensure all selected pixels in a document are exported.
The Export button is grayed out when there are no items selected.
To export linked groups, such as contours, blends, extrusions, shadows, and objects created with the Artistic media tool , first group the objects in the linked group, and then add the group to the Export docker. For example, if you want to export an object with an inner shadow, create a group from the object and the shadow, and then add the group to the Export docker.
